Weather
The weather in Las Vegas is part of what makes the town a top travel destination.  With more than 300 days of sun every year, weather in Las Vegas is perfect for your business or vacation plans.  The high temperatures during February are generally in the low 60's and the low's are in the lower 40's.
Transportation
Airport Shuttle – The most economical way to get to your hotel.  Shuttles can cost less than $10 for Strip/Downtown.  Check with your hotel for schedules.  A few companies are listed below:

The Las Vegas Monorail – The Monorail travels from Sahara Ave to the MGM Grand, 7 days per week, from 7 am–2 am, Monday–Thursday, and until 3 am, Friday–Sunday.  Visit website for stop locations and ticket prices.  www.lvmonorail.com
Taxis – Fares start with $3.30 on the meter, and $2.65 is then added for every additional mile.

Invitational Travel pertains to invited travelers who’s travel expenses have been authorized for reimbursement by the Support Office, such as certain speakers, NPSTC member representatives, etc.  If you will be on invitational travel, please complete the following form in addition to the regular registration form:
Approval is required prior to booking ANY travel.  The deadline for requesting reimbursement is January 15, 2012.
Receipts
Maintain your receipts.  After the meeting you will need to submit the signed expense form, all travel receipts and the trip report to:

To help expedite your reimbursement, fax all receipts and the signed expense form to (303) 649-1844.  The fax will then be submitted as a PDF formatted file.  Make sure you have included your trip report (third tab in the trip file), as your reimbursement will not be completed without this report.
Ground Transportation
To and From Airports:  You must submit receipts for shuttles, taxis, or metro/bus fares.  All expenses require a receipt.  To be mindful of resources, please consider using airport shuttles and other low-cost alternatives to taxis whenever possible.  CAR RENTAL IS NOT AUTHORIZED.
