Volunteer
If you'd like to participate in the Technology Committee, please use the form below to volunteer. You will be contacted with the information for the next meeting.
Volunteer Form Welcome to the Technology Education Web Page. The NPSTC Technology Committee was formed to ensure that you – the public safety and public service communities – maximize your communications capabilities. We want to keep you aware of the latest technological development, deployment, standardization, and regulation. Within this Committee, Technology Education is working to build a resource to help you understand both the basics and complexities of technologies and associated issues of regulation and standards.
What You Will Find Here? Technology Education will tackle topics related to Federal Communications Commission (FCC) matters; using the 700 MHz, 4.9 GHz, 5.2 GHz, and 5.8 GHz bands for public safety communications; trunked, conventional, multi-site, and simulcast issues; and standards such as P25 and International Association of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). How Can I Request Additional Topics? Please email teched@npstc.org to request presentations on technology topics that interest you. |
