Good Afternoon SAFECOM Members,
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is pleased to announce the release of the Best Practices for Governance Structure Membership Analysis, published on the SAFECOM Governance webpage. Highlights of the document include the importance of a robust and inclusive governance structure to ensure effective coordination and decision making when responding to incidents and planned events.
SAFECOM has outlined best practices to consider when assessing governance structure membership composition for gaps to better align with the evolving ecosystem. The Best Practices for Governance Structure Membership Analysis target audience are decision makers at state, local, tribal, and territorial governments; state governing bodies (e.g., statewide interoperability governing body, state interoperability executive committee, statewide 911 board, alerting authority); governments without established governance structures; public safety stakeholders; and agencies who support public safety (e.g., transportation, utilities, non-governmental organizations).
We encourage you to share this document with your colleagues and others who may be interested. This document would not have been created without the commitment, ideas, and expertise of SAFECOM's members. CISA is grateful for your contributions.
